A while back, I showed you a card on which I dry-embossed the paper without a Big Shot and embossing folder. Instead, I used the Simply Scored Stylus and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. You can see that card here.
I decided to use the same technique (and the same stamp image) for my swaps at Stampin’ Up! Convention.
Additionally, I created a video tutorial so I could show YOU how to hand-emboss an image. Have a look and let me know what you think.

I’m so excited to share my latest Stampin’ Up creation with you today! I decided to do something a little bit different for the As You See It challenge and used my Gift Bag Punch Board to create a pretty holder for a selection of thank you note cards.

I just love how they turned out! I wanted to have a slight vintage feel to this project, so I picked muted colours and combined them with sassy gold. I’m IN LOVE with the new Metallic Thread! It’s so fun to add a splash of pizzazz that doesn’t pull your eye away from the focal point of the card.
I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the gift bag that will hold this collection of cards. The cards are a bit smaller than 3×3″. Actually, they are precisely 2.75″x2.75″. I find this size to fit much more easily into the 3 1/8″ square envelopes and 2.75″ is kind of a magical number when you are using the 8.5″x11″ cardstock. By creating this size card, I can get 6 wee note cards out of one sheet of cardstock! THIS gives me great joy (probably more than it should, lol!)

Because I used Very Vanilla cardstock in this project, rather than Whisper White, I will take the time to create beautiful matching envelopes using the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.
Just imagine the look on my friend’s face when she receives this beautiful selection of cards! She won’t want to give them away!!
(but she will… because I will make her. MWAHAHAHAAAA!!)

I had such a crazy awesome and busy week last week that I couldn’t pull it together enough to make a card to share with you. I loved last week’s AYSI challenge sketch, though. I’ll have to give it a try later and see how it goes.
I’m in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the Inspire.Create.Share. Stampin’ Up convention! Me and the gals started with a couple of lovely days just hanging out together in the city, eating yummy food, shopping and educating ourselves on the Charleston and other important things-to-know about the roaring 20s. Stampin’ Up had the 20s themed party on last night after our first day of Convention! It was so fun to dress up and show my dance moves (as unpracticed as they were- it’s harder than it looks!).
I did have just enough time to created this card before I packed my bags on Sunday. But first here’s the As You See It Challenge sketch #97 where my inspiration came from.
And my card is all in Pacific Point, Mint Macaron, and Basic Black. I used stamps from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set and the Bold Butterfly stamp set.
This design also uses the Brick Wall embossing folder, the new Lots of Labels Framelits (which I just cut off one end of to create the tag), and the In-Colour Blossom Accent.
